I've been very busy with running and although I completed the Edinburgh Marathon I have launched straight into training for the next one in October (Inverness). Still, it is about time I took some new photos. This was taken on the Slug Road outside Stonehaven last Sunday evening. I took my YashicaMat medium format camera as well but forgot to take spare film (Doh!). Kids bored? Then bring out the Playdoh! I have finally got round to trying some inkjet varnish from DCP. Basically you apply it with a roller to a matte print and it gives it a glossy/satin sheen. This weekend was Jessica's turn and she was most excited. Honey did everything with us and had a whale of a time. Luckily Honey was not as high maintenance as Jessica! I did a 14 mile run yesterday as part of my marathon training. This is the longest I've ever ran (both distance and time - 2hrs 05 mins). I was rather chuffed with myself! I've been slowly building up a Bronica SQ kit. I've always wanted one but the initial costs seemed a bit high for an impulse buy. I managed to get an SQ body from the states for next to nothing before Christmas. Yesterday I finally managed to get a sucessful bid for an 80mm lens (£28). Getting there slowly........ I'm on my third week of marathon training now. The race isn't until May but the preparation takes around 18 weeks.
